Wednesday 2nd General Meeting & AGM From 7.00pm All welcome
1-26th Surf comp – Gunnamatta
Pls refer to tide times at BoM or WillyWeather for H/T times on the day(s) you wish to fish.
STATE BAG LIMITS APPLY
Maximum of 20 fish per species per day with a minimum size of 24 cm
BBQ lunch and weigh in/ brag pictures will be on the 27th at our clubrooms.  All members and visitors welcome.
Saturday 12th Presentation night From 6.30pm for 3 course dinner and presentation of trophies and prizes. All members and guests welcome.  Pls refer to emailed invitation for further details.
August 2025

STATE BAG LIMITS APPLY
Bream – min. 30 cm, max 38cm.  Bag 7 per day
Dusky Flathead – min. 30 cm. max – 55 cm.  5 per day
Fish caught are to photographed on a brag mat and photos posted on either our WhatsApp or Facebook.  Proof of location is to be included with the photo.
Weigh in time & venue TBA via daily
attraction sheet  and WhatsApp.
BBQ to be held at clubrooms 31st August 12.30pm

Snapper only.
Take photos and post on our WhatsApp or to our FB. Include photo of weight.

10 fish per day of which no more than 3 fish may be equal to or exceed 40cm in length

BBQ lunch and weigh in at the clubrooms Sunday 30th
Only the THREE BEST FISH may be brought to the weigh in and weighed.

28th/29th Estuary comp
Lake Tyers, Tambo River, Paynesville, Johnsonville.
Catch and release comp as well as caught fish.
This comp will decide the winner of the Cyril Mitchell Award.

Bream – min. 30 cm,  max 38cm
7 per day
Dusky Flathead –  min. 30 cm  max – 55 cm
5 per day
All flathead in Lake Tyers are considered dusky.
Weigh in times:
5pm Sat and noon Sun

April 2026

May 2026
Wednesday 7th General Meeting from 7.00pm All welcome
TBA depending on numbers Portland tuna social weekend Tuna: bluefin, yellowfin, bigeye – 2 whole tuna OR up to 160kg in other forms.  Skipjack or albacore – 5 fish total

Portland tuna:  tuna cannot be filleted on or in Vic waters.  Filleting may be done on the cleaning tables at the ramp.

Members to advise if they would be interested and charters/accommodation can be booked
Trivia night Date TBA depending on the Portland trip.
June 2026

General Meeting from 7.00pm All welcome

 

 

  1. The committee will endeavour to hold all comps but weather and other unforeseen circumstances may cause a comp to be cancelled.
  2. In the event of a cancellation a text/WhatsApp message will be sent to all members by the Secretary as soon as practicable.  Please have your phones charged and turned on.
  3. If a comp is cancelled the committee will reschedule the comp to a comparable date.
  4. On weekend comps it is a member’s responsibility to book accommodation.  Information on options will be given out at the preceding general meeting and members may discuss sharing cabins etc.
  5. Any changes will be marked in red.
