SUNDAY 17 NOVEMBER 2019 - SALTWATER TRIP - PORT PHILLIP BAY - 3 am - 12 noon

Hi everyone. Sunday 17 November we had one of our regular Port Phillip Bay trips which saw 10 of our members and a former member take to the water. Our weigh master Dave Jacobsen reported that the wind was terrible and the seas angry but if members were lucky they found fish that would take a bait. The wind picked up around 9 am and the rain squalls made it somewhat uncomfortable to fish. Even with the weather as it was 11 fish for a total weight of 30 Kg were brought back to the scales at the club rooms. 7 Snapper, 2 Pinkies, 1 Flathead and 1 Pike. Also Andrew - a former member of the club weighed his fish in which went a whopping 9.24Kg uncleaned.
With regards to the snapper caught for the day Jack Jacobsen caught 3 snapper for a total weight of 11.46Kg (the heaviest being 5.32Kg); Dave Jacobsen - 1 at 3.89Kg and Peter Bouboulis also caught a nice one at 4.300Kg.
Another Port Phillip Bay trip is scheduled for next Sunday 24 November.
